Greg, originally from South Bend Indiana, has always had a passion for cooking. Whether it was watching his Mom and Dad cook large, incredible and delicious meals for him and his five siblings (and oftentimes many, many more) or, as he got older, venturing out and experimenting with different ingredients, methods and processes – cooking has always been important in his life. BBQ, however, was never a big part of his culinary repertoire. But when he moved to Kansas City in 2001 his world got turned upside down. So many options. So many flavors. And Burnt Ends!?!

In those years since his arrival, he has learned a lot about not just how to BBQ but also about the incredibly rich Kansas City BBQ history. He is always looking to learn more and experiment. Greg has cooked on gas, charcoal, and pellet grills, offset and drum smokers. He loves all the special attention and nuances each one takes to make a great BBQ. When Greg isn’t working he’ll be spending time with his wife and 3 kids, family, and friends. He has a favorite KC local brewery in the West Bottoms and volunteers quite a bit with the American Royal organization.
